Student Organizations

In addition to assisting top professors with important research projects, you can complement your classroom learning by joining any of more than 200 student clubs, honorary societies, and other professional, volunteer, and service organizations at CMU.

Learn beyond the classroom

Student organizations provide their members with opportunities to develop leadership skills, become acquainted with professions, and network with peers, faculty, and professionals working in their fields of interest.

  • Society of Automotive Engineers student members have been among the top five finishers in numerous Mini-Baja competitions in recent years. These competitions test off-road vehicles in extreme conditions.
